Very cool fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I’ve worked with this organization in the past on half a dozen events, including last year’s fashion show(SF Chronicle).  This year Charleston Pierce was nominated for Man of the Year award. The models were from Stars Agency and there was amazing talent all around. Here are some pics:

What a great experience to go shoot at Coachella as well as party with friends. We went to the actual festival only 2 of the 3 days we were in Indio. Saturday was spent at the Anthem Magazine pool party named “La fiesta de fiestas”. What an experience, they had free flowing booze, food, girls and a donkey. Last November I did onlocation headshot and enviromental portraits at the law offices of Kapsak and Blair. The shoot went really well, and we all agreed on results. I just got an update on the website, and its always a good feeling that your photos found a good home.  Here are the photos in use, and also here.  I used my studio strobes in front of a backdrop and also some small flashes for the enviromental portraits.

This lens set me back around 2 grand, but its worth every penny. At f1.2 the subject in the image pops right out of the photo without having to do any photoshop work. I mainly got it to shoot models and portrait clients, but since I am covering Coachella for Metrowize and Han Vodka I’ll put the lens to great use.

Desmond Tutu came to San Francisco this Tuesday for various “Free Tibet” activities. In between his busy schedule rallying along side Richard Gere and others, he had time to come to the Grace Cathedral for a VIP reception, and an award ceremony from the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Coalition, IGLHRC Its the second event the Grace Cathedral has hired me.
