Just wanted to share these mouth watering food shots I did for Infusion Lounge in San Francisco.  The food really tastes as good as it looks, which is a great perk of these shoots.  Desiree Prada, the executive chef, did a fantastic job on the food and presentation.  The clients are happy and already started running an ad campaign using my images, first of which is in this month’s 7×7 Magazine.

After Denver I flew out to New York to do photograph my clients for a December wedding in the Dominican Republic. They are a really great couple, and I am very excited to photograph their destination wedding. I am glad I was able to come out for their engagement session, since it always takes a bit of time to get a relationship going between a couple and a photographer.  We ended up photographing around Central Park, a fantastic New York location.

Last week I had an opportunity to shoot a bar and grill in Denver for the owner, builder and the designer.  This 3 in 1 deal worked out quite well, especially since I got to spend time with my cousin Jenia Kosoy, who happens to be the lead designer on the project. I don’t typically blog about non-wedding endeavors, but this one deserves a special mention. Jenia, did an amazing job creating this place, and I can honestly say that I am impressed. What’s random is that we have the same name (Gene is Jenia in Russian), but our last names although the same are from two different Kosoy lineages.  Kosoy is an extremely rare name, so go figure.  Enjoy the photos…

This was a really fun wedding to photograph, since I felt that I already knew most of the people at the wedding. Back in October I photographed Marjorie’s sister’s wedding, so the second time around I knew who everyone was. This wedding was a bit less hectic than Cindy’s. For one thing, the ceremony and reception both took place at the Palmdale Estates, which makes my job a whole lot easier. It was a beautiful outdoor setting put together by the creative planners at I-Romance. Even the venue coordinator was impressed with the setup. John from Fancy Wheelin took Marjorie to the ceremony site from the Best House. That added touch was worth it, and made the wedding even more special. The night flew by quickly, as everyone was having a great time. Marjorie serenaded Dan with a romantic performance of “You were meant for me” by Jewel to acoustic guitar. Seriously, it was better than the original. The night ended in dancing, and just like Cindy’s wedding there was no shortage of fun loving people celebrating the union of this beautiful couple.

This was a relatively short shoot, utilizing the last bit of light left in the day. We squeezed in 5 separate locations into a short one hour shoot. Everything was shot in Central Park located in downtown San Mateo. Stay tuned for the “real” Central Park shoot coming up in June. Really fun couple, great story. Candice did her homework and brought some fun props. The dog was special to Norm, since his family has a childhood photo of Norm and his brother with the dog. While we were taking photos 3 girls and their dad inspected underneath the dog to find Geo Cache. Not really sure how this works, but its basically an Iphone scavenger hunt where people can find hidden treasure. Turns out that there is a large cavity underneath this cast dog.
